The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Fredric Zander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Flamengo's Rolando Merexildo threw himself towards the right post 4 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ahmet Orhan Kazakhan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 6th match minute, PGE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauro Odon to maneuver through the defense. 8 minutes into the game, Flamengo's Henrik Kilström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Merexildo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Flamengo's August Hjortberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartolo Leoiar in the 10th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henrik Kilström got free with Rolando Merexildo in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 14th minute Henrik Kilström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Merexildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Arturo Espiridion took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Rolando Merexildo to make any attempt to save it. In the 23rd minute, Ahmet Orhan Kazakhan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rolando Merexildo. The goal made the score 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gil Godoi in the 30th minute of play forced Flamengo's goalkeeper August Hjortberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Henrik Kilström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolando Merexildo. PGE FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Henrik Kilström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Rolando Merexildo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ahmet Orhan Kazakhan in the 41st minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Henrik Kilström made the kick off in the second half. Rolando Merexildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Orhan Kazakhan in the 52nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, PGE FC's Virgilio Gauargi got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Rolando Merexildo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Orhan Kazakhan in the 62nd minute of the match. Bartolo Leoiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rolando Merexildo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Orhan Kazakhan in the 68th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, PGE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Espiridion came free, but Rolando Merexildo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 91 minutes into the game, when Virgilio Gauargi put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of PGE FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Flamengo:s goal. Rolando Merexildo went to the wrong direction when Henrik Kilström was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. PGE FC's Rolando Merexildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Orhan Kazakhan in the 94th minute of play. Rolando Merexildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Orhan Kazakhan in the 97th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Flamengo players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
