Jerry Lawler blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Baldomero Shantala having to make a save. After having played for 41 minutes, 陆西迅 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vancouver Reds's supporters crossed their fingers, but 陆西迅 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Toussaint Alvarez kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Juventud Antoniana's Omar Duardo threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Trayan Davchev, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

With a little luck, Juventud Antoniana's Baldomero Shantala got control of the ball when Jerry Lawler tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vancouver Reds's Omar Duardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Abeitia in the 60th minute of play. In the 69thth minute of the game Jerry Lawler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Juventud Antoniana's Baldomero Shantala was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
