Rodrigo Ferdinand's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Samuel Evarado skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 19 played minutes Vancouver Reds got a freekick which was hit by Cameron Leary. Vancouver Reds's Omar Duardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernabe Ladio in the 23rd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Hermosillo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Ferdinand came free, but Samuel Evarado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel Evarado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Ferdinand in the 28th minute of the match. Toussaint Alvarez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 51 minutes into the match, Vancouver Reds's Salvador Tate sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Samuel Evarado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 52 minutes into the game, one of Hermosillo FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Ferdinand in the 84th minute of play forced Hermosillo FC's goalkeeper Samuel Evarado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th match minute, Vancouver Reds was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Ferdinand to maneuver through the defense. After 90 played minutes Hermosillo FC got a freekick which was hit by Jonatan Fraco. In the 91st minute Görkem Büyükada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Evarado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Görkem Büyükada had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Samuel Evarado. When the referee ended the match the Vancouver Reds players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
