The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maximilian Henning in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wincenty Kolacki saved Natural Born Killers from getting behind. In the 28th minute of the match Rot-Weiss-Essen got a corner. Natural Born Killers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Maximilian Henning ran over to the corner to take the kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Rot-Weiss-Essen fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! With a little luck, Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns got control of the ball when Damazy Arbaszewski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wincenty Kolacki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leif-Eric Albrecht, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After having played for 47 minutes, Hugo Haupt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rot-Weiss-Essen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Haupt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Natural Born Killers's Vinicio Iyan was substituted for Damazy Arbaszewski. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wincenty Kolacki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 58 minutes into the match, Natural Born Killers's goalkeeper Wincenty Kolacki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hugo Haupt. When Vinicio Iyan came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Natural Born Killers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vinicio Iyan couldn't finish the play. Natural Born Killers's Radomir Kasprzak was substituted for Roland Bialakowski. In the 65th minute Vinicio Iyan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but August Hoffmanns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. August Hoffmanns took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Policarpio Lukaschewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. August Hoffmanns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Policarpio Lukaschewski in the 69th minute of the match. If Policarpio Lukaschewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Vinicio Iyan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but August Hoffmanns was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Policarpio Lukaschewski in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg August Hoffmanns saved Rot-Weiss-Essen from getting behind. Maximilian Henning did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-3 to the left of a surprised Wincenty Kolacki 88 minutes into the match. Firman Siagian hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. When Hugo Haupt came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Rot-Weiss-Essen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Haupt couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Rot-Weiss-Essen walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
