In the 10th minute of the match de belletrekkers got a corner. Soflov FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marten Merckx ran over to the corner to take the kick. Soflov FC's Patricio Salamon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulus Van Hove in the 14th minute of play. Feliks Nieruchliwy took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised De-la-Cruz de Alcântara. De-la-Cruz de Alcântara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Feliks Nieruchliwy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the match, Soflov FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulus Van Hove came free, but Patricio Salamon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rein Goethals got free with Patricio Salamon in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half Soflov FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The throw-in from Teun Rondou in the 51st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Soflov FC's Percy Romero. After a defensive mix-up in de belletrekkers's zone, Marco Domeka stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. De-la-Cruz de Alcântara came out of the goal and Marco Domeka tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Feliks Nieruchliwy got free with De-la-Cruz de Alcântara in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fabio Rios recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Rein Goethals had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Feliks Nieruchliwy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. De-la-Cruz de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Soflov FC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over de belletrekkers's much stronger midfield.
