Soflov FC's Patricio Salamon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Soflov FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anestis Kotsopoulos came free, but Patricio Salamon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute, Anestis Kotsopoulos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rot-Weiss-Essen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. August Hoffmanns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliks Nieruchliwy in the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Anestis Kotsopoulos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. The supporters of Soflov FC booed when Rot-Weiss-Essen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hakem Al Khames didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Soflov FC's goalkeeper Patricio Salamon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Feliks Nieruchliwy ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 45th minute, Hugo Haupt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Patricio Salamon was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Patricio Salamon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 57 minutes into the match, Soflov FC's Feliks Nieruchliwy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that August Hoffmanns narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 59 minutes into the match, Soflov FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anestis Kotsopoulos came free, but Patricio Salamon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patricio Salamon came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Rot-Weiss-Essen's Anestis Kotsopoulos. But to his dismay, Anestis Kotsopoulos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Feliks Nieruchliwy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. August Hoffmanns showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliks Nieruchliwy, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Anestis Kotsopoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Patricio Salamon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anestis Kotsopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rot-Weiss-Essen's Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Soflov FC's goalie prevented a goal. Patricio Salamon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anestis Kotsopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the game, Anestis Kotsopoulos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Patricio Salamon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 85 played minutes Rot-Weiss-Essen got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Haupt. David Oriol hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Elias Leheren charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elias Leheren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Soflov FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Elias Leheren hit a great ball. Elias Leheren got his second yellow card in the match during the 93rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Soflov FC's Elias Leheren got a free kick in the 94th minute. There was no doubt that Rot-Weiss-Essen were the better team. Rot-Weiss-Essen's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
