Ovidio Raymundo started the match with the kick off. Hermínio Loyola's late challenge caught a Funebrero FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hermínio Loyola helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th minute, Hermínio Loyola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodrigo Ongile showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ovidio Raymundo, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Osmar Antunes made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Basilio Valiente sent off a good shot on target. Hector Lartaun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Osmar Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hermínio Loyola kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Osmar Antunes was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Mati Pinto. After some careless play in the XV de Indaial defense, Hector Lartaun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Osmar Antunes. The XV de Indaial fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Osmar Antunes should have stopped the shot. The supporters of XV de Indaial booed when Funebrero FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eulalio Guillem didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ovidio Raymundo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodrigo Ongile having to make a save. Ovidio Raymundo took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rodrigo Ongile. Rodrigo Ongile dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Funebrero FC's Rodrigo Ongile played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ovidio Raymundo in the 44th minute of play. 46 minutes into the game, Sílvio Coutinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. XV de Indaial's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Funebrero FC the free kick. After 46 played minutes XV de Indaial got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Coutinho.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Basilio Valiente made a kick off. In the 58th minute Ovidio Raymundo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Ongile saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of XV de Indaial booed when Funebrero FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Modesto Hulberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodrigo Ongile took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ovidio Raymundo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, Modesto Hulberto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Funebrero FC's Eulalio Guillem got a free kick in the 62nd minute. When Ovidio Raymundo came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the XV de Indaial fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ovidio Raymundo couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, XV de Indaial's Jean Campidelis got a free kick in the 65th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Augusto Queiroz during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 68 played minutes XV de Indaial got a freekick which was hit by João Augusto Queiroz. In the 70th minute Basilio Valiente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osmar Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osmar Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidro Fero in the 75th minute of play. Hector Lartaun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd match minute, XV de Indaial was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Didier Penven to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th minute Didier Penven suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. Sílvio Coutinho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodrigo Ongile having to make a save. 91 minutes into the match, Ovidio Raymundo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rodrigo Ongile, 1-3. 94 minutes into the match, Funebrero FC's goalkeeper Rodrigo Ongile had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ovidio Raymundo. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. XV de Indaial walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
