In the 21st minute, Melker Gudmundsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Shao Jing Yuan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melker Gudmundsson in the 26th minute of the match. Steven Homan might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Shao Jing Yuan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Steven Homan ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of SV Balverliefd booed when Santa Fe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steve Rogers didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute, Steven Homan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Shao Jing Yuan was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Santa Fe's Shao Jing Yuan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Santa Fe from getting a goal against them. In the 38th minute of the match, Felix van As tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Shao Jing Yuan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 45 minutes into the game, Rolando Madaleno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santa Fe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SV Balverliefd the free kick. In the 45th minute, Rolando Madaleno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. The wind increased when Steven Homan made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steve Rogers in the 51st minute of play forced SV Balverliefd's goalkeeper Yorrick Zoethout to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Melker Gudmundsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yorrick Zoethout made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Fernando Pratto in the 55th minute of play. Juan Fernando Pratto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Santa Fe made a substitution. Guillermo Bemabe replaced Eliott Pépin. Roque Roso hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. After having played for 68 minutes, Melker Gudmundsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SV Balverliefd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Melker Gudmundsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Shao Jing Yuan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steven Homan in the 71st minute of the match. Shao Jing Yuan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix van As, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Steven Homan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shao Jing Yuan having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Santi Ogazón in the 79th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by SV Balverliefd's Lisandro Heerckes. Eraldo Lalli hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Santa Fe's Gilberto Raymond got a free kick in the 91st minute.
