In the 10th match minute, Santa Fe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steve Rogers to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the match, Armando Dorigatti had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Shao Jing Yuan. Santa Fe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Armando Dorigatti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Armando Dorigatti came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the MKS Mazur Ełk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Dorigatti couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in MKS Mazur Ełk's zone, Roque Roso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cezary Sitko came out of the goal and Roque Roso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cezary Sitko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romulo Lalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, Wieslaw Zawacki had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Shao Jing Yuan. Shao Jing Yuan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Dorigatti in the 37th minute of play. Roque Rosos short, quick shot in the 39thth minute got Cezary Sitko to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Wieslaw Zawacki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wieslaw Zawacki in the 42nd minute of play forced Santa Fe's goalkeeper Shao Jing Yuan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armando Dorigatti might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Shao Jing Yuan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Armando Dorigatti ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, MKS Mazur Ełk's Waclaw Bierfass got a free kick in the 46th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Romulo Lalla was the one to do the kick off. Roque Roso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Cezary Sitko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Shao Jing Yuan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wieslaw Zawacki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute Wieslaw Zawacki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shao Jing Yuan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 64 minutes, Wieslaw Zawacki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MKS Mazur Ełk and the Santa Fe players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 64th match minute, MKS Mazur Ełk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wieslaw Zawacki to maneuver through the defense. MKS Mazur Ełk made a substitution. Santa Fe made a substitution. Santi Ogazón replaced Rolando Madaleno. When Armando Dorigatti came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the MKS Mazur Ełk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Dorigatti couldn't finish the play. After 93 played minutes Santa Fe got a freekick which was hit by Romulo Lalla. Shao Jing Yuan didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 95th minute, which inside left pole to 0-5. The MKS Mazur Ełk supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing MKS Mazur Ełk would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
