When Candelaria FC's Timoteo Michael in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 23rd minute Korey Reed shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Testa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute of the match, Arnaldo Marquez tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lonnie Hurley saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Candelaria FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marciano Lekubegi in the 25th minute. It was a well-played corner which Bart Pellen managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Bart Pellen took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lonnie Hurley. Lonnie Hurley dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 34 minutes into the match, Sven-Olof Sjöberg notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Key Biscayne FC's Lonnie Hurley. Lonnie Hurley was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Danilo Testa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dustin Burton in the 40th minute of play. After some careless play in the Key Biscayne FC defense, Arnaldo Marquez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lonnie Hurley. The Key Biscayne FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lonnie Hurley should have stopped the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Georges Collard made a kick off. Dustin Burton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Danilo Testa made a huge save. Lonnie Hurley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Olof Sjöberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute Jefferson de Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lonnie Hurley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 61 played minutes Key Biscayne FC got a freekick which was hit by Georges Collard. Sven-Olof Sjöberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lonnie Hurley having to interfere. Lonnie Hurley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bart Pellen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Georges Collard in the 70th minute of play forced Candelaria FC's goalkeeper Danilo Testa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnaldo Marquez in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lonnie Hurley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 73 minutes, Arnaldo Marquez made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Key Biscayne FC's Lonnie Hurley tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Candelaria FC's Antonio Alzamendi was substituted for Bart Pellen. The supporters of Candelaria FC booed when Key Biscayne FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georges Collard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Key Biscayne FC made a substitution. Ali Hogue replaced Dustin Burton. Georges Collard hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. If Christian Gómez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lonnie Hurley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Okanalp Özdil in the 80th minute of the match. Christian Gómez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lonnie Hurley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Okanalp Özdil in the 84th minute of play. The corner ended in Antonio Alzamendi almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Key Biscayne FC's Lonnie Hurley did a great save. When Primus Listiyantoro fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Key Biscayne FC's protests and gave Primus Listiyantoro a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Key Biscayne FC's Primus Listiyantoro got a free kick in the 91st minute. 93 minutes into the game, Okanalp Özdil cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Lonnie Hurley was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Candelaria FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
