In the 4th minute Erland Arhenius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Toribio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 6 minutes into the match, FC FERNET BOYS's goalkeeper Ludwig Apelqvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anacleto Libertad. Ludwig Apelqvist didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 6th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Through an outstanding action, after 11 minutes, Ludwig Apelqvist successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. FC FERNET BOYS's Ludwig Apelqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Zuid in the 14th minute of play. A collision led to FC FERNET BOYS getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Erland Arhenius hit a great ball. Anacleto Libertad could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Ludwig Apelqvist made a huge save. Anacleto Libertad's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Ludwig Apelqvist skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 27th minute, Erland Arhenius made a precise shot to the right of Rodrigo Toribio. Los Guacho Pistola's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Zuid in the 34th minute of play forced FC FERNET BOYS's goalkeeper Ludwig Apelqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the game, Jan Zuid cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Ludwig Apelqvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 41 minutes of play, FC FERNET BOYS's Andrej Ďuriš made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodrigo Toribio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rodrigo Toribio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erland Arhenius in the 47th minute of play. After the first half FC FERNET BOYS were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anacleto Libertad stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ludwig Apelqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anacleto Libertad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Zuid scored 3-3 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ludwig Apelqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in FC FERNET BOYS's zone, Anacleto Libertad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ludwig Apelqvist came out of the goal and Anacleto Libertad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69th minute, Andrej Ďuriš got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 3-4 became the score in the 77th minute when Erland Arhenius elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Rodrigo Toribio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrej Ďuriš, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC FERNET BOYS's Ivan Erdődy was substituted for Andrej Ďuriš. In the 86th minute of the match Vladan Leszczynski sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ludwig Apelqvist skillfully saved the ball. If Jan Zuid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Los Guacho Pistola made a substitution. Victor Evis replaced Vladan Leszczynski. Erland Arhenius could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Rodrigo Toribio made a huge save. FC FERNET BOYS's Matej Malíšek was substituted for Ľubomír Šišmiš. FC FERNET BOYS's Ignác Ťažký was substituted for Juraj Starší. In the 95th minute FC FERNET BOYS were awarded a corner. Sergio Agüero went to the cornerflag to take it. FC FERNET BOYS's Sergio Agüero was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rodrigo Toribio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The FC FERNET BOYS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC FERNET BOYS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
