Ciriaco Hernando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute, Edgar Souto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inter Gala fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Rodrigues in the 13th minute of play forced Vänge IF's goalkeeper Ciriaco Hernando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Inter Gala's Eduardo Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Giordani in the 20th minute of play. Inter Gala's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gustavo Salles in the 99th minute. The corner ended in Cristóvão Ribeiro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Vänge IF's Ciriaco Hernando did a great save. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Inter Gala players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
