Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gwidon Cwojdak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 14 minutes into the game, Soriano Comas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wolf Team AC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cruzeiro Esporte Clube the free kick. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube made a substitution. Gualter Meirelles replaced 余永川. After 13 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Wolf Team AC! In the 16th minute there was a penalty for Cruzeiro Esporte Clube. Oswaldo Maranhense stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sergi Daiber. 0-2. When Eber Izquierdo fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wolf Team AC's protests and gave Eber Izquierdo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th minute, Eber Izquierdo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sergi Daiber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gwidon Cwojdak in the 19th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Ye Hong Shi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergi Daiber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gualter Meirelles might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sergi Daiber. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gualter Meirelles ran back to his position shaking his head. Sergi Daiber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gualter Meirelles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Wolf Team AC's zone, Gualter Meirelles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergi Daiber came out of the goal and Gualter Meirelles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ye Hong Shi in the 32nd minute of play forced Wolf Team AC's goalkeeper Sergi Daiber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Wolf Team AC's zone, Gualter Meirelles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergi Daiber came out of the goal and Gualter Meirelles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Gualter Meirelles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Gualter Meirelles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sergi Daiber breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Cruzeiro Esporte Clube fans' excitement grew in the 46th match minute when Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Gualter Meirelles looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Juan Pablo Pechini made the kick off in the second half. Sergi Daiber was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpected shot in the 62nd minute by Gualter Meirelles got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Wolf Team AC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Gwidon Cwojdak scored to the left of an out of position Sergi Daiber, making the score, 0-6. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Cristi Saron was substituted for Oswaldo Maranhense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gong Fan in the 74th minute of play forced Wolf Team AC's goalkeeper Sergi Daiber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Wolf Team AC's Sergi Daiber got control of the ball when Gualter Meirelles tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gualter Meirelles struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Sergi Daiber didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cruzeiro Esporte Clube. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Olavo Quadros was substituted for Enrique de Mendonça. After 84 minutes of play, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Gualter Meirelles made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sergi Daiber was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gualter Meirelles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 92nd minute, Eber Izquierdo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gualter Meirelles in the 93rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sergi Daiber, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Juan Pablo Pechini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arthur Bufi having to interfere. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
