An unexpectedly hard shot by Mikolaj Lech in the 17th minute of play forced AVV Zeeburgia's goalkeeper Aílton Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roman Matai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xiao Chang Chao in the 18th minute of play. Aílton Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zygmunt Bielejewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. STAL ST WOLA's Roman Matai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerard Klaus in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, AVV Zeeburgia's goalkeeper Aílton Fernandez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mikolaj Lech. The audience was convinced that Michel Batistuta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aílton Fernandez was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. When Gerard Klaus fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AVV Zeeburgia's protests and gave Gerard Klaus a yellow card for diving instead. After 44 played minutes AVV Zeeburgia got a freekick which was hit by Gerard Klaus. With a little luck, AVV Zeeburgia's Aílton Fernandez got control of the ball when Mikolaj Lech tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Michel Batistuta made the kick off in the second half. Roman Matai came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by AVV Zeeburgia's Gerard Klaus. But to his dismay, Gerard Klaus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Roman Matai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xiao Chang Chao in the 67th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerard Klaus got free with Roman Matai in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Zygmunt Bielejewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerard Klaus struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Roman Matai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AVV Zeeburgia. The audience was convinced that Zygmunt Bielejewski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aílton Fernandez was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. 79 minutes into the match, AVV Zeeburgia's goal looked a bit too open when Mikolaj Lech came free, but Aílton Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
