NEGRITUDE FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dave Murray was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 20 minutes into the match, Iron Maiden FC's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Salles came free, but Pirro Blazquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Iron Maiden FC's Clive Burr got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute, Inácio Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernesto Vargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arın Biçim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Arın Biçim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Dave Murray managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iron Maiden FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dave Murray was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto Vargas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 34th minute, Júlio Salles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ernesto Vargas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dave Murray went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Günalp Talip hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Dave Murray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Vargas having to interfere. Ekialde Abajas kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arın Biçim to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arın Biçim in the 51st minute of play forced NEGRITUDE FC's goalkeeper Ernesto Vargas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the NEGRITUDE FC defense, Dave Murray kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ernesto Vargas. The NEGRITUDE FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ernesto Vargas should have stopped the shot. NEGRITUDE FC's Ernesto Vargas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arın Biçim in the 72nd minute of play. If Sydney Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernesto Vargas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Arın Biçim showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 76 minute of play. Dave Murray blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ernesto Vargas having to make a save. After 80 minutes, Luisão Bertassi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NEGRITUDE FC and the Iron Maiden FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
