After a defensive mix-up in BAIRES's zone, Alfredo Vieira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anibal Cambiasso came out of the goal and Alfredo Vieira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The attack was good, but when Genaro Cambiasso in the 25th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Nilson Dracena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andres Cambiasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 31st minute Tobias Gorka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilson Dracena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute, Tobias Gorka left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BAIRES fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Christiano Baiano stood ready after the free kick and tried to head the ball into the goal, but got pushed from behind by one of BAIRES's defenders and the ball went out. SE Palmeiras appealed in vain for a penalty, the referee looked over at the linesman, but the flag stayed down. No Penalty. Andres Cambiasso hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Marciano Cambiasso might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nilson Dracena. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marciano Cambiasso ran back to his position shaking his head. Alfredo Vieira kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Genaro Cambiasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilson Dracena having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Andres Cambiasso notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of SE Palmeiras's Nilson Dracena. Nilson Dracena was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 80 minutes into the match, SE Palmeiras's goalkeeper Nilson Dracena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andres Cambiasso. The corner led BAIRES's Raimundo Cambiasso to fire away a dangerous shot which Nilson Dracena despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. SE Palmeiras's Nilson Dracena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save SE Palmeiras from getting a goal against them. After 83 minutes, Joaquin Cambiasso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BAIRES and the SE Palmeiras players grew even worse after the yellow card.
