A collision led to Misericordia EC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Pedro Luís Amaral hit a great ball. Paulo Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikel Señoret, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 19 minutes Misericordia EC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Javiero Charme who took care of the corner kick. If Pedro Luís Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgardo Rondanelli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Valdomiro Luz went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Talcampeón FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Javiero Charme in the 32nd minute. Edgardo Rondanelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdomiro Luz in the 37th minute of play. Paulo Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lolo Acharan, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdomiro Luz in the 43rd minute of play forced Talcampeón FC's goalkeeper Edgardo Rondanelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
