After 27 played minutes FC Inter Sibiu got a freekick which was hit by Frank Melis. After some careless play in the FC Inter Sibiu defense, Elazar Calderon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sebastián Sosa. The FC Inter Sibiu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sebastián Sosa should have stopped the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elazar Calderon was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Pompiliu Cordescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joris Verheecke was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. In the 57th match minute, Wisła Tczew was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roman Hejza to maneuver through the defense. Monge Mong's late challenge caught a FC Inter Sibiu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
