The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of TZITZIFIES booed when The Hanging Tree was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Bero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iosif Labriakos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Bero, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. With a little luck, The Hanging Tree's Jacinto Panpili got control of the ball when Fu Lin Liang tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 68 minutes, Jann Aasa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TZITZIFIES and the The Hanging Tree players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in The Hanging Tree's zone, Jann Aasa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacinto Panpili came out of the goal and Jann Aasa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jacinto Panpili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jann Aasa in the 83rd minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, TZITZIFIES's goal looked a bit too open when Justino Feliz came free, but Iosif Labriakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute of the match Justino Kimetz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iosif Labriakos skillfully saved the ball. The TZITZIFIES supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing TZITZIFIES would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
