Fabrizio Canzano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 11 minutes into the match, Saint Côme de Fresné's goalkeeper Patrice Sénéchal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabrizio Canzano. Patrice Sénéchal was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Ove Bergman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ove Bergman really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Otang Irawan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Patrice Sénéchal. That made the score 3-0 in the 24 minute of play. Patrice Sénéchal was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Ove Bergman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ove Bergman really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Iker Casillas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joaquim Gibert's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Ove Bergman succeeded in the game's 35th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 5-0. Saint Côme de Fresné's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Ove Bergman scored to the left of an out of position Patrice Sénéchal, making the score, 6-0. After 45 minutes, Philippe Albert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Villa Gordiani and the Saint Côme de Fresné players grew even worse after the yellow card. Iker Casillas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henri Quesada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

In the 63rd minute Henri Quesada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Casillas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Villa Gordiani's Iker Casillas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henri Quesada in the 70th minute of play. Ove Bergman took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Patrice Sénéchal. Patrice Sénéchal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. Saint Côme de Fresné's Patrice Sénéchal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ove Bergman in the 79th minute of play. In the 82nd match minute, Saint Côme de Fresné was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christophe Dugas to maneuver through the defense. Fabrizio Canzano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Patrice Sénéchal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Villa Gordiani's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
