Bartosz Erland showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 12th minute, Wang Kuan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bartosz Erland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ovidiu Adrian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Lewandowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Poli Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when 苏桑奕 came free, but Ovidiu Adrian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ovidiu Adrian. Poli Timisoara's Ovidiu Adrian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mevlüt Akmaner in the 70th minute of play. Sascha Kulovitz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Conny Stephansson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play.
