Spectators: 7491 (Terracing: 5619, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Isaias Eguerdi got the match started through his kick off. In the 6th minute Alf Hamberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Joey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sven-Arne Olsson kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Marcelino Chaime made a precise shot to the right of Evert Norberg. Worst Team Ever's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Evert Norberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santiago Mino in the 21st minute of the match. In the 24th minute Arnoldo Medina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evert Norberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Worst Team Ever's Evert Norberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnoldo Medina in the 26th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Worst Team Ever's goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Medina came free, but Evert Norberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute Marcelino Chaime shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evert Norberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Santiago Mino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Evert Norberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Evert Norberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelino Chaime in the 42nd minute of play. Evert Norberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santiago Mino in the 43rd minute of the match. The Worst Team Ever players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Palermo were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Arnoldo Medina made the kick off in the second half. Evert Norberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Santiago Mino in the 54th minute. After some careless play in the Worst Team Ever defense, Santiago Mino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Evert Norberg. The Worst Team Ever fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Evert Norberg should have stopped the shot. Evert Norberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Medina, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stor Klack in the 63rd minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Alfredo Joey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Worst Team Ever getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Kalle Berg hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Worst Team Ever's zone, Saul Felo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evert Norberg came out of the goal and Saul Felo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 70 minutes into the match, Worst Team Ever's goalkeeper Evert Norberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelino Chaime. Santiago Mino received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Evert Norberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Santiago Mino slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 71st minute. Alfredo Joey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egil Brask, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute, Arnoldo Medina reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Evert Norberg. The goal made the score 0-6. Palermo made a substitution. Ariel Austin replaced Isaias Grove. In the 86th play minute Santiago Mino came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Evert Norberg. 0-7. The supporters of Palermo booed when Worst Team Ever was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Hedlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Palermo's Santiago Mino got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 96th minute, József Murai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 97 minutes into the match, Worst Team Ever's goal looked a bit too open when Saul Felo came free, but Evert Norberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
