When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Santiago Mino sped through Morro Grande E.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Christiano Trevisan. After some careless play in the Morro Grande E.C defense, Saul Felo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christiano Trevisan. The Morro Grande E.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christiano Trevisan should have stopped the shot. 21 minutes into the game, Palermo's Arnoldo Medina nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christiano Trevisan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Christiano Trevisan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Mino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santiago Mino in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christiano Trevisan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Santiago Mino put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Christiano Trevisan. After a rather tough play, Palermo's Marcelino Chaime got a free kick in the 30th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Palermo's Santiago Mino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christiano Trevisan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 39th minute of the match Palermo got a corner. Morro Grande E.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Saul Felo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Saul Felo made a great header on Palermo's corner, it was just that Morro Grande E.C's Christiano Trevisan managed to reach the ball for a save. After 41 minutes, Santiago Mino made it 0-7 with a short kick to the right side. The audience was convinced that Santiago Mino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christiano Trevisan was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. With a little luck, Morro Grande E.C's Christiano Trevisan got control of the ball when Sven-Arne Olsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Santiago Mino dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Christiano Trevisan, 0-12. Christiano Trevisan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnoldo Medina in the 79th minute of play. Santiago Mino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christiano Trevisan having to interfere. Palermo's Ariel Austin was substituted for Isaias Grove. Palermo made a substitution. Anacleto Itzaina replaced William Bengtsson. Christiano Trevisan was a little too slow when Maximino Gonzalez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 0-14. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Saul Felo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palermo's supporters rose to their feet, but Saul Felo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christiano Trevisan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Palermo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Morro Grande E.C throughout the match.
