Sofoklis Prinianakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pastor Gitano, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Henley on Thames United's Joe Wright slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Femke Bol. That made the score 1-0 after 36 minutes of play. In the 43rd minute, Jake Marriott made a precise shot to the right of Femke Bol. Figueira SC FSCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Femke Bol had in the 66thth minute some difficulties stopping Grant Sherwood's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. With a little luck, Henley on Thames United's Sofoklis Prinianakis got control of the ball when Cássio Guimarães tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Figueira SC FSCMZ's Yuri Reis in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Henley on Thames United's goalie prevented a goal. Pastor Gitano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 92nd minute Carl Houghton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Femke Bol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carl Houghton in the 97th minute of play forced Figueira SC FSCMZ's goalkeeper Femke Bol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Figueira SC FSCMZ players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Henley on Thames United.
