After a defensive mix-up in Martin Palermo F.C.'s zone, Dario Gentili stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvio Bazil came out of the goal and Dario Gentili tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 53rd minute, Fetih Piruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th match minute, Marzagão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Toledo to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oliviero Vuelta in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silvio Bazil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oliviero Vuelta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Silvio Bazil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by Martin Palermo F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Valério Mazza was slow to take the kick. During this time Marzagão's players had a chance to rest. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
