Luc Van Hinnendael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustão Abraão in the 11th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xavies Muñagorri in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Panait Frânculescu saved Alexandria Team08 from getting behind. In the 35th minute Marin Dică shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luc Van Hinnendael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Alexandria Team08's goalkeeper Panait Frânculescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mac Mon. Carl Van Kamp charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carl Van Kamp the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th minute of the match, Mac Mon tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Panait Frânculescu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Luc Van Hinnendael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustão Abraão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Gustaf Svanér's late challenge caught a FC Bruges's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustaf Svanér helped the player get up and apologised. In the 50th match minute, Alexandria Team08 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustaf Svanér to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Alexandria Team08's Ilie Greculescu got a free kick in the 73rd minute. 76 minutes into the match, Alexandria Team08's goal looked a bit too open when Ken Brogren came free, but Panait Frânculescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ken Brogren in the 76th minute of play forced Alexandria Team08's goalkeeper Panait Frânculescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jedrzej Sanocki kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Panait Frânculescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mac Mon, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Vassilis Katsanikas in the 80th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Alexandria Team08's Jedrzej Sanocki. Zhou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
