Luis Escobar succeeded in the game's 7th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. If Eigirdas Burnickas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, ALIANZA 1901's goal looked a bit too open when Amedeo Giancola came free, but Ruy Berger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute Eigirdas Burnickas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruy Berger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luis Escobar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Corrado Contestabile made a huge save. In the 34th play minute Luis Escobar came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Corrado Contestabile. 5-0. After a defensive mix-up in ALIANZA 1901's zone, Amedeo Giancola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruy Berger came out of the goal and Amedeo Giancola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luis Escobar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Corrado Contestabile made a huge save. Corrado Contestabile showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richie Ason in the 41st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amedeo Giancola in the 44th minute of play forced ALIANZA 1901's goalkeeper Ruy Berger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hyblae FC's Corrado Contestabile played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richie Ason in the 45th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ferruccio Festuccia made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Luis Escobar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Corrado Contestabile was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. ALIANZA 1901's Ruy Berger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save ALIANZA 1901 from getting a goal against them. After 60 minutes ALIANZA 1901's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Andrea Pasciu who took care of the corner kick. Luis Escobar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corrado Contestabile having to interfere. Corrado Contestabile showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Tomasini in the 63rd minute of the match. Hyblae FC's Corrado Contestabile played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richie Ason in the 67th minute of play. Corrado Contestabile showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Tomasini, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josepe Gamiz in the 72nd minute of play forced Hyblae FC's goalkeeper Corrado Contestabile to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When ALIANZA 1901's Richie Ason in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hyblae FC's goalie prevented a goal. Ruy Berger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amedeo Giancola in the 74th minute. When Andrea Pasciu came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Hyblae FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrea Pasciu couldn't finish the play. ALIANZA 1901 were furious when Nazario Ispuzua was red carded, 83 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. When the match had been going on for 85 minutes, Hyblae FC's Amedeo Giancola got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ruy Berger. In the 90th minute, Raúl Donatello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ALIANZA 1901's Rojelio Daza couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 91st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Hyblae FC.
