Latif Al Fakir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 黄超亦, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The Galatasaray SK fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Galatasaray SK's Cristiano Hagi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Mihăiţă Ştefulescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mihăiţă Ştefulescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Oltean, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After 45 minutes of play, Galatasaray SK's Cristiano Hagi made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mihăiţă Ştefulescu was left in no man's land by his defense there!
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 黄超亦 to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anders Målare got free with Mihăiţă Ştefulescu in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 57th minute, Yiğit Özdoğru reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mihăiţă Ştefulescu. The goal made the score 0-5. Mihăiţă Ştefulescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristiano Hagi went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Mihăiţă Ştefulescu was out of position in the 63 minute of play, and Cristiano Hagi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cristiano Hagi really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. GoooooL's Mihăiţă Ştefulescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save GoooooL from getting a goal against them. When Costică Hidișan fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GoooooL's protests and gave Costică Hidișan a yellow card for diving instead. Mihăiţă Ştefulescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yiğit Özdoğru in the 70th minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, Galatasaray SK's goal looked a bit too open when 黄超亦 came free, but Latif Al Fakir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mihăiţă Ştefulescu made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Cristiano Hagi sent off a good shot on target. GoooooL's Mihăiţă Ştefulescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save GoooooL from getting a goal against them. Arsen Ugolnikov hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Anders Målare's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 87thth minute, Mihăiţă Ştefulescu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 93rd minute, Frank Zijden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silviu Filimon kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Galatasaray SK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than GoooooL.
