The supporters of Galatasaray SK booed when 2kC Poznań was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Ekialde didn't get a good kick on the ball. Latif Al Fakir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Janusz Pusiak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Janusz Pusiak struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Latif Al Fakir didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 2kC Poznań. After 18 played minutes 2kC Poznań got a freekick which was hit by Stanislaw Kisielka. After 19 played minutes 2kC Poznań got a freekick which was hit by Czeslaw Dembowski. 2kC Poznań's Tadeusz Rutkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Hagi in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute of the match Galatasaray SK got a corner. 2kC Poznań's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Valeriy Chernetsov ran over to the corner to take the kick. Veijo Väätäinen tried in the 29th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Tadeusz Rutkowski a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-0. When Janusz Pusiak fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 2kC Poznań's protests and gave Janusz Pusiak a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Lucjan Sokol managed to get in a good position for a shot. 2kC Poznań's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucjan Sokol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Latif Al Fakir breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristiano Hagi in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tadeusz Rutkowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to 2kC Poznań getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Lucjan Sokol hit a great ball. In the 78th minute, Lucjan Sokol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute, Lucjan Sokol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arsen Ugolnikov hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Latif Al Fakir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Turak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as 2kC Poznań's Lucjan Sokol slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Latif Al Fakir. That made the score 1-2 after 85 minutes of play. With a little luck, Galatasaray SK's Latif Al Fakir got control of the ball when Janusz Pusiak tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 90 minutes, Janusz Pusiak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 2kC Poznań's supporters crossed their fingers, but Janusz Pusiak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
