Ted Kobbeltvedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Jenaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. If Arlindo Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Drik's Ted Kobbeltvedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Han Wei Yuan in the 45th minute of play. Han Wei Yuan might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ted Kobbeltvedt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Han Wei Yuan ran back to his position shaking his head.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ernst Barskov made a kick off. Şinasi Ahioğlu hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. 53 minutes into the game, Cezary Czeszyk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Catalonia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Drik the free kick.
