Seagulls's Aurelio Rexino tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maksymilian Wawak in the 12th minute of play forced Seagulls's goalkeeper Aurelio Rexino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, Benjamin Jol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 41 minutes of play, Viento Norte FC's Flavio Martino made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aurelio Rexino was left in no man's land by his defense there! Benjamin Jol lost his temper 45 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 44th minute, one of Seagulls:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Seagulls. After a long run with the ball, Gavino Raymundo did a trick in the 47th minute in front of Seagulls's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 0-3. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nildo Matos made a kick off. Aurelio Rexino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gavino Raymundo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juliano Macena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Aurelio Rexino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 60 played minutes Seagulls got a freekick which was hit by Nildo Matos. The score was now 0-5. 86 minutes into the match, Seagulls's goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Martino came free, but Aurelio Rexino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juliano Macena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Aurelio Rexino made a huge save. Seagulls's Aurelio Rexino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Seagulls from getting a goal against them.
