The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilson Leite in the 3rd minute of play forced Club Olimpia's goalkeeper Alfredo Aguilar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredo Aguilar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilson Leite in the 5th minute of play. Nelson Haedo struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Bilbo Arzube didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Olimpia. 13 minutes into the game, Roberto Bueldi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Bilbo Arzube was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilson Leite in the 22nd minute of play forced Club Olimpia's goalkeeper Alfredo Aguilar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Juventus EC's Bilbo Arzube got control of the ball when Nelson Haedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Juventus EC's Bilbo Arzube proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Juventus EC from getting a goal against them. Juventus EC made a substitution. Walmyr Loyola replaced Rosendo Gervaso. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Walmyr Loyola made the kick off in the second half. Bilbo Arzube took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelson Haedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the match, Club Olimpia's goal looked a bit too open when Walmyr Loyola came free, but Alfredo Aguilar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Theofanis Karafanakis kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the game, Oséias Pontes threw the ball into play from the sideline. Club Olimpia's Raka Hadiman quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Walmyr Loyola could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Alfredo Aguilar made a huge save. Bilbo Arzube showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nelson Haedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Juventus EC's Walmyr Loyola got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Club Olimpia's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
