Spectators: 7691 (Terracing: 5769, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Esterilla Van Meenen started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Esterilla Van Meenen got free with Alfredo Aguilar in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All Stars Gent's Christiaan Elsen got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eser Şemsi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nelson Haedo's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Gustave Van Looy in the 15th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Club Olimpia's Ferdinand Zdraşcu. With a little luck, Club Olimpia's Alfredo Aguilar got control of the ball when Christiaan Elsen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Raka Hadiman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eser Şemsi having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Club Olimpia's goal looked a bit too open when Brend Van Laeck came free, but Alfredo Aguilar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Aguilar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esterilla Van Meenen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esterilla Van Meenen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfredo Aguilar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brend Van Laeck in the 33rd minute. Club Olimpia's Alfredo Aguilar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esterilla Van Meenen in the 34th minute of play. In the 37th minute Christiaan Elsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Aguilar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 39 played minutes All Stars Gent got a freekick which was hit by Jannes Gramet. Eser Şemsi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelson Haedo in the 41st minute of the match. Nelson Haedo took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eser Şemsi. Eser Şemsi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Alfredo Aguilar successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nelson Haedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esterilla Van Meenen in the 58th minute of play forced Club Olimpia's goalkeeper Alfredo Aguilar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Olimpia's Alfredo Aguilar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esterilla Van Meenen in the 64th minute of play. After having played for 68 minutes, Esterilla Van Meenen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
