Joga Bonito's Alejo Eleazar got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Artur Boruc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Bezerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute Mauro Bezerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Boruc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mauro Bezerra in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Artur Boruc prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joga Bonito's Artur Boruc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Musko Cuevas in the 34th minute of play. Artur Boruc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 麦坤竞 in the 35th minute of play. A collision led to Joga Bonito getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Andy Symons hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute Mauro Bezerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Boruc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alejo Eleazar struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Donato Ali didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Joga Bonito. In the 45th minute, Mauro Bezerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mauro Bezerra to make the kick off. The shot was a little too simple and Artur Boruc could save by the left post. Schuster were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after Joga Bonito's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Saul Piarres took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Flavio Miconi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Artur Boruc quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Mauro Bezerra took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Artur Boruc to make any attempt to save it. Schuster made a substitution. Anfilogino Pittelli replaced Saul Piarres. Schuster's Valer Stroici was substituted for Achille Passerini. Schuster made a substitution. Richy Hensmans replaced Musko Cuevas. 77 minutes into the match, Schuster's goal looked a bit too open when Klas Jansson came free, but Donato Ali reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Artur Boruc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Bezerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Artur Boruc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richy Hensmans in the 94th minute of the match. Schuster's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Anfilogino Pittelli in the 95th minute. Schuster's Valer Stroici was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Artur Boruc in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The Joga Bonito supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Schuster's performance. The match ended with a win for Schuster.
