Renan Mendes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gomesano Gatica in the 14th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Matanza and Steelers's goal looked a bit too open when Lucrețiu Grigore came free, but Renan Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Quinto Fonticoba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimmy Örtendal in the 27th minute of play. Renan Mendes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucrețiu Grigore's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Grêmio Prudente were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Matanza and Steelers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edson Ribeiro took the corner. Grêmio Prudente's Andy Strömberg was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Renan Mendes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 36th minute, Matanza and Steelers's Aaron Tello ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Quinto Fonticoba. Quinto Fonticoba yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 42nd minute Matanza and Steelers were awarded a corner. Jimmy Örtendal went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Jimmy Örtendal got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Quinto Fonticoba quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 43 minutes into the game, Lucrețiu Grigore cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Renan Mendes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucrețiu Grigore made a kick off. Virgil Zgrăbunţa charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Virgil Zgrăbunţa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 52 played minutes Matanza and Steelers got a freekick which was hit by Virgil Zgrăbunţa. Grêmio Prudente's Quinto Fonticoba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leysus Oktavianus in the 58th minute of play. Matanza and Steelers's Leysus Oktavianus got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 62 minutes into the match, Grêmio Prudente's goal looked a bit too open when Ulrico Herzog came free, but Quinto Fonticoba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edson Ribeiro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Renan Mendes firmly grabbed it by the left post. 69 minutes into the match, Matanza and Steelers's goal looked a bit too open when Edson Ribeiro came free, but Renan Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matanza and Steelers's Renan Mendes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Matanza and Steelers from getting a goal against them. Quinto Fonticoba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César Lucas, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Renan Mendes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucrețiu Grigore in the 85th minute of the match. When César Lucas fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Matanza and Steelers's protests and gave César Lucas a yellow card for diving instead. César Lucas kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Renan Mendes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edson Ribeiro in the 88th minute. Renan Mendes made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Gomesano Gatica sent off a good shot on target. In the 90th minute, Gomesano Gatica ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Renan Mendes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. 94 minutes into the match, Matanza and Steelers's goalkeeper Renan Mendes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gomesano Gatica. Grêmio Prudente's Quinto Fonticoba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by César Lucas in the 95th minute of play. The Matanza and Steelers supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Grêmio Prudente's performance. The match ended with a win for Grêmio Prudente.
