The supporters of Alvinegro de Tupã booed when Deportivo Mukenio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramon Rius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hílton Pernambucano was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Karl Martin Bell Burnell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aziz Akarsu, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Åke Hellström in the 9th minute of play forced Deportivo Mukenio's goalkeeper Ismael Gimenez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ismael Gimenez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Recai Garipbaş in the 25th minute of the match. Jairo Aurre hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Arí Mello made in the 34th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Silvinho Meira. Alvinegro de Tupã's Karl Martin Bell Burnell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aziz Akarsu in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute Aziz Akarsu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Martin Bell Burnell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Alvinegro de Tupã's goal looked a bit too open when Aziz Akarsu came free, but Karl Martin Bell Burnell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aziz Akarsu made a kick off. In the 56th minute of the match Deportivo Mukenio got a corner. Alvinegro de Tupã's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mario Hever ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mario Hever made a great header on Deportivo Mukenio's corner, it was just that Alvinegro de Tupã's Karl Martin Bell Burnell managed to reach the ball for a save. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Ismael Gimenez successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Karl Martin Bell Burnell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jairo Aurre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Aziz Akarsu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Mukenio's supporters rose to their feet, but Aziz Akarsu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl Martin Bell Burnell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aníbal Leal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Ismael Gimenez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Deportivo Mukenio fully deserved thier win.
