If Roberto Antoni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of ✪ XV de Umarizal booed when Lyons was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severo Basualdo didn't get a good kick on the ball. ✪ XV de Umarizal's Domingo Bulnes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boleslaw Zielinski in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the game, one of Lyons:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When Adriano van Beek came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the ✪ XV de Umarizal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adriano van Beek couldn't finish the play. Boleslaw Zielinski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Lyons defense, Adriano van Beek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luisito Quinten. The Lyons fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luisito Quinten should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Adriano van Beek made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, ✪ XV de Umarizal's goal looked a bit too open when Boleslaw Zielinski came free, but Domingo Bulnes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute, Jakob Sitepu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luisito Quinten was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Adriano van Beek capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adriano van Beek really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Luisito Quinten made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adriano van Beek in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano van Beek in the 70th minute of play forced Lyons's goalkeeper Luisito Quinten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Bai Yan Yong fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ✪ XV de Umarizal's protests and gave Bai Yan Yong a yellow card for diving instead. Lyons's Dariusz Roano was substituted for Boleslaw Zielinski. In the 74th minute, Bai Yan Yong hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 75 minutes, Marcos Berasko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lyons's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcos Berasko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 81 minutes into the game, Dariusz Roano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Domingo Bulnes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. ✪ XV de Umarizal's Luiz Fabiano Amorim was substituted for Bai Yan Yong. Dariusz Roano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Domingo Bulnes having to make a save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. ✪ XV de Umarizal walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
