Luisito Quinten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Pirlo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gong Yang in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luisito Quinten saved Lyons from getting behind. Luisito Quinten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gong Yang, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 11thth minute of the game Blas Soter who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lyons's Luisito Quinten was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Róbert Behúň stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Boleslaw Zielinski's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Blas Soter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisito Quinten having to interfere. Luisito Quinten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gong Yang in the 28th minute of play. Boleslaw Zielinski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 32 minutes into the match, Lyons's goal looked a bit too open when André Pirlo came free, but Luisito Quinten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Kukova's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gregório Pimentel in the 34th minute. After a rather tough play, FC Kukova's Zhu Zhen Lin got a free kick in the 37th minute. Róbert Behúň made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boleslaw Zielinski in the 38th minute of play. Luisito Quinten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blas Soter, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After 42 minutes Lyons's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gregório Pimentel who took care of the corner kick. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Boleslaw Zielinski to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when André Pirlo got free with Luisito Quinten in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 56th minute of the match FC Kukova got a corner. Lyons's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gregório Pimentel ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Gregório Pimentel got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Luisito Quinten quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 58 minutes of play, Lyons's Boleslaw Zielinski made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Róbert Behúň was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 72nd minute, Zhu Zhen Lin had to leave the field with a concussion. After a rather tough play, Lyons's Stig Åkerberg got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Lyons's Luisito Quinten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blas Soter in the 75th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jozef Šagáth got free with Luisito Quinten in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jozef Šagáth's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luisito Quinten read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. FC Kukova's Róbert Behúň played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dariusz Roano in the 88th minute of play. A hard shot 90 in the game by Blas Soter from a close distance when the talented Luisito Quinten managed to make a qualified save. Lyons's players were relieved. 90 minutes into the game, André Pirlo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Kukova's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lyons the free kick. André Pirlo kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FC Kukova's Blas Soter got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Basilio Urti hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the match, Dariusz Roano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Róbert Behúň. FC Kukova's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dariusz Roano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Many of FC Kukova's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. FC Kukova may have spent more time on the ball, but Lyons were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
