The audience thought a goal was coming when Arvid Carlsson got free with Shi Bang Xiang in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 10 minutes into the match, FC Jamala's goalkeeper Shi Bang Xiang had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arvid Carlsson. Shi Bang Xiang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Willy Witarya in the 13th minute of play. Arvid Carlsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Shi Bang Xiang made a huge save. FC Jamala's Shi Bang Xiang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albin Nilsson in the 23rd minute of play. Arvid Carlsson made a great header on Linköpings AIK's corner, it was just that FC Jamala's Shi Bang Xiang managed to reach the ball for a save. Shi Bang Xiang made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Julien Staffelbach sent off a good shot on target. 28 minutes into the match, Linköpings AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Loco Martin came free, but Jimmy Olsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Marbjörn Garpsson fired a really elegant long shot, but Shi Bang Xiang threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. The supporters of FC Jamala booed when Linköpings AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julien Staffelbach didn't get a good kick on the ball. Shi Bang Xiang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willy Witarya in the 46th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Loco Martin to make the kick off. Shi Bang Xiang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arvid Carlsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tavo Tomat in the 59th minute of play forced FC Jamala's goalkeeper Shi Bang Xiang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 66 played minutes FC Jamala got a freekick which was hit by Afşar Aydınoğlu. Linköpings AIK's Jimmy Olsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Linköpings AIK from getting a goal against them. Folke Abrahamsson kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. FC Jamala's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Amador Ishmael in the 88th minute. After a rather tough play, FC Jamala's Loco Martin got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The supporters of Linköpings AIK booed when FC Jamala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afşar Aydınoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Jamala's zone, Stefan Blomqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Shi Bang Xiang came out of the goal and Stefan Blomqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Linköpings AIK were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FC Jamala for a fine match.
