The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Christof Deroek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Dijoux in the 3rd minute of the match. Selebi-Phikwe's Christof Deroek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Dijoux in the 5th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Louis-Philippe Pelsmaeckers in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clark Kent saved Zorros del Desierto from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnathan Bowden in the 12th minute of play forced Zorros del Desierto's goalkeeper Clark Kent to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zorros del Desierto's Clark Kent played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnathan Bowden in the 20th minute of play. Clark Kent showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnathan Bowden, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Christof Deroek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zorros del Desierto's Clark Kent played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Louis-Philippe Pelsmaeckers in the 46th minute of play. After the first half Selebi-Phikwe were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Zorros del Desierto's Quique Cordoba was substituted for Alex Dijoux. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Johnathan Bowden to strike the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes Zorros del Desierto got a freekick which was hit by Sebastián Roco. After having played for 62 minutes, I Putu Okbo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Selebi-Phikwe's supporters crossed their fingers, but I Putu Okbo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zorros del Desierto made a substitution. Zenaido Oviedo replaced Pape Lillo. Zorros del Desierto's Inge Rolig was substituted for Cesar Sampaio. Johnathan Bowdens short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Clark Kent to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Clark Kent took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafik Oliwa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zorros del Desierto's Clark Kent proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Zorros del Desierto from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafik Oliwa in the 79th minute of play forced Zorros del Desierto's goalkeeper Clark Kent to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Zorros del Desierto getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Sebastián Roco hit a great ball. Clark Kent was a little too slow when Johnathan Bowden got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 97th minute. The score was now 0-3. The Zorros del Desierto fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Selebi-Phikwe were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
