Placido Goi started the match with the kick off. Karamázov's Brickeen Wall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frasier Huber in the 6th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, SalentoUnited's goal looked a bit too open when Braulio Uhin came free, but Igor Brandenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Igor Brandenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braulio Uhin in the 10th minute of the match. Igor Brandenberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aureliano Cordeara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aureliano Cordeara scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Igor Brandenberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 22 minutes into the match, SalentoUnited's Frasier Huber sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brickeen Wall narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Patrice Brechbühl made a great header on SalentoUnited's corner, it was just that Karamázov's Brickeen Wall managed to reach the ball for a save. SalentoUnited's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frasier Huber was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The wind increased when Frasier Huber made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Frasier Huber cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Brickeen Wall was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Frasier Huber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Brickeen Wall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SalentoUnited's Igor Brandenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Goi in the 61st minute of play. If Placido Goi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Igor Brandenberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Braulio Uhin in the 64th minute. Frasier Huber took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Brickeen Wall. Brickeen Wall dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. SalentoUnited's Urbano Hotz was substituted for Frasier Huber. 83 minutes into the match, SalentoUnited's goalkeeper Igor Brandenberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Braulio Uhin. 84 minutes into the game, Urbano Hotz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Brickeen Wall was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Braulio Uhin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Igor Brandenberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Braulio Uhin slotted it home off the left post making it 4-3 in the 89th minute. In the 92nd match minute, SalentoUnited was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Marti to maneuver through the defense. Karamázov's Iván Karamazov shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 92nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Igor Brandenberg but with some difficulty. The supporters of SalentoUnited booed when Karamázov was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodosio Ugaitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The SalentoUnited players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
