Minho FC's Zeferino Diegues proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Minho FC from getting a goal against them. In the 13th minute of the match Minho FC got a corner. Litoral EC - CIMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Demetrio Savini ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Ivo Mourato heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Kıvanç Bengi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magno Aparecido in the 17th minute of play. Zeferino Diegues made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Joseph Joestar sent off a good shot on target. 22 minutes into the game, Fang Yong Qiang threw the ball into play from the sideline. Minho FC's Cláudio Santiago quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Minho FC's Zeferino Diegues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dagoberto Custódio in the 23rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Minho FC's Ivo Mourato got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 32ndth minute of the game Magno Aparecido who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Litoral EC - CIMZ's Kıvanç Bengi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Minho FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Antero Mendes hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Hélder Soveral kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kıvanç Bengi. That made the score 0-3 in the 80 minute of play. Steven Bergwijn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zeferino Diegues read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Litoral EC - CIMZ's Steven Bergwijn sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zeferino Diegues narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Steven Bergwijn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zeferino Diegues read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Litoral EC - CIMZ lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
