The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Aquiles Gana managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC Morena's supporters rose to their feet, but Aquiles Gana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogério Mitovski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dražen Ladić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Hastings, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Aquiles Gana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rogério Mitovski. San Mauro A Mare FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aquiles Gana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 31 minutes San Mauro A Mare FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jerzy Piwowarski who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Jerzy Piwowarski almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but San Mauro A Mare FC's Rogério Mitovski did a great save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Levent Hicran to strike the kick off in the second half. If Aquiles Gana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rogério Mitovski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquiles Gana in the 61st minute of play. San Mauro A Mare FC's Augusto Riso was substituted for Fan Liang Chong. Levent Hicran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. San Mauro A Mare FC made a substitution. Mario Jardeløv replaced Levent Hicran. After 74 played minutes AC Morena got a freekick which was hit by Mikolaj Felenak. Dražen Ladić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Jardeløv in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the game, Zbigniew Limanowski threw the ball into play from the sideline. AC Morena's Mikolaj Felenak quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Aquiles Gana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rogério Mitovski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquiles Gana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute of the match Jerzy Piwowarski shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rogério Mitovski showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 95 minutes into the match, San Mauro A Mare FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aquiles Gana came free, but Rogério Mitovski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to AC Morena getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Álvaro Fonseca hit a great ball. AC Morena's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
