Menios Chloros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mean Machine's goalkeeper Menios Chloros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carles Pujol hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Karl-Åke Brummer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miltos Makris in the 26th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Carles Pujol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Karl-Åke Brummer was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. If Lucjan Bejger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lanzenkirchen's Karl-Åke Brummer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Lanzenkirchen from getting a goal against them. Roque Claus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Menios Chloros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roque Claus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lanzenkirchen's Roque Claus got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Karl-Åke Brummer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carles Pujol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Lanzenkirchen getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Patrick Braaby hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucjan Bejger made a kick off. In the 51st minute Miltos Makris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Åke Brummer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Menios Chloros came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Lanzenkirchen's Roque Claus. But to his dismay, Roque Claus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Menios Chloros was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Roque Claus capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Roque Claus really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Mean Machine made a substitution. Agnaldo Braga replaced Archibaldo Peñaranda. Lanzenkirchen made a substitution. Roland Freytag replaced Lasse Tilemann. A sloppy throw-in by Octav Bocșan in the 68th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Mean Machine's Luca Milivojević. After some careless play in the Lanzenkirchen defense, Nedim Emekli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karl-Åke Brummer. The Lanzenkirchen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl-Åke Brummer should have stopped the shot. Nedim Emekli might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Karl-Åke Brummer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nedim Emekli ran back to his position shaking his head. Karl-Åke Brummer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nedim Emekli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karl-Åke Brummer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nedim Emekli in the 73rd minute of the match. Nedim Emekli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Karl-Åke Brummer having to make a save. Karl-Åke Brummer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nedim Emekli, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Roland Freytag's late challenge caught a Mean Machine's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roland Freytag helped the player get up and apologised. If Nedim Emekli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nedim Emekli in the 84th minute of play forced Lanzenkirchen's goalkeeper Karl-Åke Brummer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lanzenkirchen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nikos Stasinos was slow to take the kick. During this time Mean Machine's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Mean Machine's Daniil Bonoris to fire away a dangerous shot which Karl-Åke Brummer despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Karl-Åke Brummer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nedim Emekli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karl-Åke Brummer came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Mean Machine's Carles Pujol. But to his dismay, Carles Pujol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. Menios Chloros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roque Claus went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-4 was the resulting score. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
