Glasgow Rangers FC's Xie Xiang Yan pulled a muscle in his leg after 35 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Mario Alberto Kempes fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Laurita FC's protests and gave Mario Alberto Kempes a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Laurita FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Mario Alberto Kempes hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the match, Laurita FC's goalkeeper Arnulfo Kinsen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ettore Placidi. Laurita FC's Arnulfo Kinsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Natalucci in the 53rd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Laurita FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Lauaxeta came free, but Arnulfo Kinsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute Ettore Placidi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnulfo Kinsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nestor Lauaxeta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
