An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Cordario in the 11th minute of play forced IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡'s goalkeeper Vânderson Saa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vânderson Saa came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario. But to his dismay, Augusto Cordario quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Erwin Huygens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toros No in the 16th minute of the match. Vânderson Saa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Cordario in the 17th minute of play. Erling Ballas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erwin Huygens having to interfere. Augusto Cordario struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Vânderson Saa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Velez Sarsfield. Filomeno Montrell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡'s goalkeeper Vânderson Saa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 35 minutes into the match, IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡'s goal looked a bit too open when Filomeno Montrell came free, but Vânderson Saa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Augusto Cordario had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vânderson Saa. IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Augusto Cordario was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Erwin Huygens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jose Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Jose Murillo took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Erwin Huygens to make any attempt to save it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Augusto Cordario made the kick off in the second half. Vânderson Saa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Cordario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Augusto Cordario who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Vânderson Saa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 64th minute Toros No shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erwin Huygens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 68 minutes of play, Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
