Apolo Abancens made in the 38th minute of the game a quick throw-in and David Rios immediately put the ball in play. Sepp Mainville took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torrey Molloy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 44 minutes Zelg FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Harry Styles who took care of the corner kick. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Óli Manfredi to strike the kick off in the second half. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Brujas KV would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
