The supporters of tHe SOnS of rAGnar booed when 1461 Trabzon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Macit Semi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ender Tanacan was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Grigoris Kornaros. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bahattin Gültekin during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ender Tanacan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walter Giardino, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mateusz Matusiak in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Sá prevented the ball from getting in the gole. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Walter Giardino to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Alexis Alexandris had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ender Tanacan. 1461 Trabzon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexis Alexandris was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 1461 Trabzon's Ender Tanacan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexis Alexandris in the 61st minute of play. Walter Giardino took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ender Tanacan. 1461 Trabzon's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateusz Matusiak in the 78th minute of play forced tHe SOnS of rAGnar's goalkeeper José Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82ndth minute of the game Alexis Alexandris who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 1461 Trabzon's Ender Tanacan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The throw-in from Alexis Alexandris in the 92nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by 1461 Trabzon's Sabit Acemoğlu. Walter Giardino scored 4-0 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ender Tanacan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
