In the 4th minute, Sergen Sergen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ged Nightingale. The goal made the score 1-0. Jay Jowsey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Larry Ferrell in the 8th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Jean Carl Cassar Torreggiani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes into the match, Attard Gunners's Sergen Sergen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ged Nightingale narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Grzegorz Piechna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Jay Jowsey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Attard Gunners's Sergen Sergen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ged Nightingale narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sergen Sergen in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ged Nightingale prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ged Nightingale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Said in the 24th minute of the match. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Arrows Academy FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Godwin Sapiano was slow to take the kick. During this time Attard Gunners's players had a chance to rest. Ged Nightingale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergen Sergen in the 29th minute of play. 36 minutes into the game, Larry Ferrell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Jay Jowsey was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Arrows Academy FC's Ged Nightingale got control of the ball when Sergen Sergen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jean Carl Cassar Torreggiani kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Arrows Academy FC's Guy Hogg tried to score from far away in the 47th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alan Said made a kick off. Jay Jowsey made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Bryan Barron sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergen Sergen in the 56th minute of play forced Arrows Academy FC's goalkeeper Ged Nightingale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 62 minutes of play, Attard Gunners's Sergen Sergen made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ged Nightingale was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ged Nightingale stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sergen Sergen's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Attard Gunners's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Godwin Sapiano in the 67th minute. After taking down the ball on Attard Gunners's corner Godwin Sapiano fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ged Nightingale quite easily take care of the ball. Sergen Sergen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ged Nightingale read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Larry Ferrell's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 73rdth minute, Jay Jowsey skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 78th minute, Arrows Academy FC's Grzegorz Piechna ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jay Jowsey. Jay Jowsey yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-2. In the 94th minute there was a penalty for Attard Gunners. Adrian Savona stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ged Nightingale. 6-3. Attard Gunners's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
