Lüder Maßberg hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. In the 3rd match minute, JKs Talanger was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roque Lauro to maneuver through the defense. Kjell Åkesson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Artur Boruc read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. After a rather tough play, JKs Talanger's Roque Lauro got a free kick in the 20th minute. JKs Talanger's Walter Wallander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dariusz Brysz in the 23rd minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, JKs Talanger's goal looked a bit too open when Dariusz Brysz came free, but Walter Wallander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 35 minutes, Dariusz Brysz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Devils's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dariusz Brysz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 43rd minute, Ali Kağan Oğuzalp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Devils's Artur Boruc proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save FC Devils from getting a goal against them. FC Devils's Viktoras Rurin quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Roque Lauro, made in the 47th minute of the game. Dariusz Brysz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Walter Wallander having to make a save. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dariusz Brysz made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gustavo Severiano during the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavian Basten in the 92nd minute of play forced FC Devils's goalkeeper Artur Boruc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgar Davids made a great header on JKs Talanger's corner, it was just that FC Devils's Artur Boruc managed to reach the ball for a save. The JKs Talanger supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Devils's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Devils.
